Step 3: Making your sprite transparent



Select the magic wand tool on the left and make sure the Tolerance at the top is "5". DO NOT anti alias! or click on anything else there.



Now use the magic wand tool and click on the black.



Press delete to clear the black. If your sprite looks messed up and is missing colors inside or outside, redo the above steps but change the tolerance.



Feel free to clear anything else you don't want on the sprite. For example I left Simon in and cleared out the status bars.



Create a new 720 x 480 transparent image, then copy and paste the transparent sprite into the center. Save the image as a psd file.

Now you have a sprite ready import in adobe premiere. Depending on what version you're using, just mess around with the scale/motion settings to get the desired size for the sprite. Don't worry about the quality since sprites are pixel based, they'll remain in excellent quality :)
